1. Introduction to the motion controller

Capable of linear interpolation, arc interpolation, continuous trajectory processing, and other complex motion control functions; supports IO high-speed latch input/precise output and position synchronous output (PSO), very suitable for rotary table visual screening equipment with 2-8 visual inspection stations.

2. Principle of glass rotary table visual screening machine

1. Working principle

First, parts are fed to a highly transparent glass rotary table via a vibration bowl; then sensors detect the incoming parts, and the controller records the actual position of the incoming parts through the high-speed latch input port. When the rotary table rotates to the visual inspection station, the controller triggers the camera to take pictures via the high-speed output port, then performs image processing calculations, and finally automatically inspects and screens according to preset inspection standards, removing defective products.

2. Principle of motion control system

Compared with traditional PLC + touch screen solutions, the rotary table visual screening system based on the motion controller has higher system integration, response speed, and efficiency. During the rapid movement of the glass rotary table, the hardware triggers the camera for visual flying capture of materials for image processing, and outputs the corresponding screening classification results in real time, greatly improving inspection speed.

3. Principle of the vision system

According to the rotational speed requirements of the turntable, certain requirements must be met for the camera's photo response, exposure time, pixels, and light source control method to complete functions such as visual flying capture, measurement, and inspection of different parts based on the motion speed.

3. Application of Motion Controller Combined with Vision in Turntable Visual Screening Equipment

1. System Operation Process

Loading products to be inspected

According to the type of material, select the corresponding vibratory feeder to transport parts onto the high-transparency glass turntable, where the rotary table rotates at a constant speed set at a certain value;

Sensing materials and recording positions

When the sensor detects the material, the current position of the material is recorded based on the high-speed latch port of the laser sensor;

Camera triggers photo capture

By latching the position through the high-speed latch port, the positions of each camera are calculated. The motion controller's internal hardware position comparator outputs triggers to the cameras for visual flying capture;

Vision system processing

Perform visual inspection, measurement, recognition, and other functions on the photographed material images, and transmit OK or NG signals to the motion controller; air blowing sorting

Based on the results feedback from the vision system to the motion controller and the material position calculated through the sensor latch, the position of the air blowing port is calculated. The motion controller's internal hardware position comparator outputs control signals to the air blowing port to sort good and defective products.
